It’s hard to fix a wrinkled heart

The friendship group thought what affects others can have on our feelings.

We watched the story ‘A wrinkled heart’ and discussed the actions of what people say and do and how it can have an impact on us. The group talked about how even though people apologise and move on, the feeling may not always completely go away – the heart can still be a little ‘wrinkled’.

Here’s the link to the story if you’d like to watch it too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwxlnHesAtQ

We then cut out heart shapes, discussed when their hearts had been ‘wrinkled’ and scrunched them up. When we said how other’s had then apologised for their actions, we tried to smooth our hearts out but found they didn’t return flat.

We created a poster “before we speak, think and be smart, it’s hard to fix a wrinkled heart”
